Five more murder added to the man. January is not even over and the Greater Houston area has at least 21 murders already.
One of the murders that caught my attention was of Douglas Ismael Morales. Douglas Ismael Morales, 51, and a woman had just come back from dinner when a carjacker ordered Morales to give up the car and money. There was an argument and the suspect shot multiple times into the car, hitting Morales in the head. Luckily the woman was not injured.
Sgt Robert Torres, HPD Homicide said, "Most likely it's going to be a suspect involved in other cases. Robbery suspects don't rob once."
So be careful out there. I linked to the articles of the murder but have also linked sites to get your concealed carry license in Texas and proper shooting method. Self-defense is not just a right, it is a necessity.

Purpose
This site is to chronicle the homicides that occur in Houston, Texas. Most information will be gathered from the Houston Chronicle at this site. I will also include other homicides that were not cited in the Houston Chronicle.
The idea behind this site is to create a visual representation of where homicides occur in Houston. Recently violent crimes has decreased in Houston but the homicide rate has increased. As David Simon showed in his journalistic novel, Homicide: A Year on the Killing Street, police can turn an aggravated assault into battery or get a witness to doubt that the robber had a gun. Murders are different because you cannot hide a body after it has been found, although HPD tries.
